They played together, talked online all the time, told people they were together and in love etc etc. He met a girl in the game and they were "in a relationship together". I can't console game any more, I had surgery on my hand two years to fix a trigger thumb which was stuck straight and after surgery it is still stuck straight so I can't use a controller anymore.įunny DAoC relationship story: Before I joined Rhiadan I was in another guild, I made a guy friend there who I played with and talked to long after that guild feel apart. (I am also watching Crowfall.)Īww I have it for the PC. I love this game, and that's why I backed Camelot Unchained.

Once it was introduced, my world was shattered, in a good way. This mechanic was like the holy grail of customization. Additionally, there were lots of options for 8-mans to coordinate creative groups. Sure, people griped about Doublefrost Zerkers and Shadowblades, but to be honest I made an elf Blademaster (pierce) that absolutely owned directly after that meta. There were many eras of imbalance metas and bitch-fests, but overall Mythic nailed balance when one considers the amount of classes involved. It also made large-scale battle more easily-digested by virtue of being able to read the animations on the field. This made it much more a game of decisions rather than twitch, even though it's all real-time. The slow animations and how you were locked in. My buds! <3 There is something (many things) about DAoC that isn't really able to be communicated to those who weren't there in regard to why it was awesome. Our guild had multiple mithril which was unheard of, still to this day talk to that group. Was able to kill a very large amount of the bosses in the epic dungeon of Shrouded isles (tuscaren glacier), items were in insanely high demand, respec stones even more. Probably just making a lot of money via selling gold after summoning spiritmaster buffs via focus shield. IT was memorable because the next week that strategy was patched out lol.ģ. Once the door was gone, all the stealthers banded together to take it, usually 1 or 2 would die after taking it and it was a relay run, once it was over the rest was easy. Had 2 more groups of just stealthers, 1 at first just keeping an eye at the gate they could respond to see if any were coming, and others at the relic keep just keeping a look out.

Basically 2 groups with trebs were just targetting the inner door of the keep until it was taken down and destroyed. Being part of a relic take through some sneaky strategies.

Seeing dozens of them just camping in milegates was really common, after a week I made a post with just pics of it back when the ign boards were a thing and it just blew up. What's my favorite memory about it is I was among the first on the server to get my shadowblade outfitted with a way to get stealth lore, being able to just see them all without being detected was just hilarious. My server had insane amounts of stealth grouping all over. Though honestly Trials of Atlantis was insanely awful due to the grind it created it did award some unique things. The feel of the community is just something I haven't felt in any other was wild Just thinking of some of my favorite memories, going to list some!ġ. Played on Tristan / Midgard for the most part. Still have such fond memories of this game, it's pvp is still unmatched to this day for what it did.
